Hindu and Muslim Rajputs and a pre-partition panchayat

My grandfather grew up in pre-partition, pre-independence India.

What was life like under colonial rule? What happened during partition? What does all of it mean for us today?

I sat down with nanaji to get a glimpse of that time, and to look for answers to some of these questions. As part of our conversation, nanaji told me the remarkable story of Hindu and Muslim Panwar Rajputs and a pre-partition panchayat that prevented violence in 56 villages.

This is our collective past. What we take from it is defining our collective future as well. Listen in and share your thoughts and comments.
